Accessible / Chair Yoga
This is the yoga class for people who don't think they can "do yoga."  In this class, yoga postures are made accessible to all students regardless of age, shape, physical limitations, or health circumstances by adapting poses, using props and hands-on support when needed. Through breath, movement, mindfulness and relaxation, we support the mind-body connection and explore the sensation of subtle energy in the body in a safe and comfortable setting. (Chairs and props are provided).
Gentle Yoga
This slow-paced class is great for anyone desiring a restful and relaxing practice. We will increase range of motion in the spine, hips and shoulders while gently strengthening with an emphasis on breathing, simple movements, and supporting our bodies with props. Appropriate for everyone.
Flow Yoga
Appropriate for all levels, this class will allow students to explore asana (postures) and breath work, as they are guided with proper alignment and creative sequencing. More advanced students can practice alongside beginners, challenged with fuller expressions of each posture. Due to centering and meditation, please arrive on time and ready to begin.
Power Flow Yoga
This is an energetic class that focuses on building strength and balance. Through the connection of breath and movement you will move through variations of core work and push-ups combined with traditional yoga poses. Modifications and rest breaks are offered. Some yoga experience is recommended.
Restorative Yoga
Restorative yoga soothes the nervous system through sequences of 5-8 supported postures that encourage mindfulness and improve body awareness. Poses, supported by a variety of props, are held for 5 minutes or more, allowing you to completely relax and rest. These poses include light twists, seated forward folds, and gentle backbends, and are appropriate for all levels of yoga students.
Yoga for Reducing Stress and Anxiety
This class will be slow and mindful with focus on gentle movement, slow flow and unwinding from our busy days and lives. Learn specific breathing and mindfulness techniques to help reduce stress. There will be options for all levels of yoga students to strengthen, stretch, release and rejuvenate. We will incorporate the use of props and restorative poses to help the body and mind reset and restore.
Deep Stretch
This class is all about releasing chronic tension! In addition to gentle yoga movements and deep stretching, students will use therapy balls and foam rollers to release tension in the muscles. This class will leave you feeling relaxed and ready to begin your week. No yoga experience is necessary.
