Mandalas - Friday, October 25, 2019 7:30pm - 9:30pm Science is proving that a regular meditation practice has many health benefits that result from balancing the nervous system. Yet, quieting the mind in meditation can be very challenging! Meditative drawing is a fun way to quiet and focus the mind, which helps prepare us for more traditional meditation methods. In these workshops, you'll learn a little about balancing the nervous system, and then practice focusing the mind while drawing. You'll leave the studio with a beautiful piece of art, insight on how to decrease your stress & anxiety, and tools for using drawing toward that purpose. No artistic skills are required for these workshops, and all of the materials you need for class are provided. Come join us for a fun few hours of meditative drawing! **SUPPLIES WILL BE PROVIDED. In this workshop, we’ll create a basic grid, and then add a variety of repetitive lines and patterns to make a beautiful black and white mandala. Or, bring a set of colored pencils or markers for embellishment.
